Phoenician Territory

Phoenicia was a Cultural Capital of the Ancient World.  Where ever you were the streets were filled up, men in the markets shouting and the ports filled with goods from all across the Mediterranean and the sailors all getting ready and packing up for their next voyage.  Yes the Phoenician cities were quite busy from the ports to the markets and the residential area.   Phoenicia was well known for their culture and their trade those two things are why Phoenicia were well  known for from past to present that’s why they are well known.  From their Agriculture Culture Trade and Architecture, Phoenicia was successful.  Other empires were jealous of their prosperity and culture so that’s why they have been conquered so many times.  Phenocia’s main cities were Byblos, Tyre and Carthage.  Phoenicia is in modern day Lebanon, Israel, Syria and Cyprus.  Phoenicia has a great history if you would like to learn more about this prosperous civilization.  Check the pages which will talk about four different subjects about what it was like.
